This winter, join contemporary artist Genevieve Swifte for an intensive weekend of still life drawing in our spacious gallery.
This collaboration between Canberra Potters and Genevieve Swifte gives you the opportunity to participate in a choice of two workshops with Genevieve at Canberra Potters in June/July 2019, as well as an invitation to exhibit drawings from the workshop alongside Genevieve’s own. The two workshops will take place in the gallery space where ceramic vessels from the Canberra Potters’ collection will become the subjects for drawings exploring form, light & shadow.
The workshop welcomes young artists from thirteen years of age, creative professionals, complete beginners and people with all levels of ability. Members of the community who have not had the opportunity to engage in formal art training are especially welcome to attend.
Discounted enrollment for concession, members of the Canberra Potters, returning students & group bookings.
Genevieve Swifte works between drawing, photography and video, she has a PhD from the ANU School of Art and Design and is a resident artist at the Ainslie and Gorman Arts Centres in Braddon, ACT. Her work is held in public and private collections both here in Australia and Internationally.
