The benefit sale held on Monday 13th June for Ian Jones and Moraig McKenna, whose beautiful Gundaroo home and gallery had recently been destroyed by fire, was a brilliant success. Thanks to some wonderful donations and an amazing turnout on the day, we raised almost $10,000.

A good crowd attended for the opening by Janet Mansfield – Ian, Moraig and Isobel were there too. The pots literally walked out of the door; by 4pm the gallery looked like the aftermath of a hurricane with bare plinths everywhere, except for the stick-on numbers that showed a pot had once proudly stood there. The online auction of pots ((www.gundaroobenefit.blogspot.com).), which closed on the evening of 16th June, added just over $13,500 to the sales total!

Canberra Potters' Society thanks all those potters who donated pots and the many people who attended the sale and bought pots there and from the online auction.
