2010 MEMBERS' EXHIBITION

21 October – 7 November

Download an entry form

Time is flying by so we hope you're working on your entries for the 2010 Members’ Exhibition!

This year’s exhibition will be opened by Avi Amesbury, Executive Director, Craft ACT: Craft and Design Centre, on the evening of Thursday 21st October and will run until Sunday 7th November.

The judge of this year’s event is Sandy Lockwood, highly acclaimed master of soda glazing and wood firing. Sandy is currently a sessional lecturer at the National Arts School in East Sydney, having taught across Australia and internationally since 1980.

Sandy’s work features white porcelain tableware with a Japanese influence in form, as well as big soda fired sculptural vessels with delicate surface crazing, reminiscent of stunning parched earth scapes. For more information and to view some of her work, visit: http://www.sandylockwood.com.au/gallerypages/sculptural/1sands_of_time.htm

Thanks to our Member' Exhibition committee this year, who are: Linda Davy, Chris Ries, Vicki Newman, Agnieszka Berger and Maryke Henderson.

We thank the very kind sponsors of awards for our 2010 exhibition. Please support them whenever you can!

2009 MEMBERS' EXHIBITION

Judge this year was John Freeland. John has collected and written about Australian ceramics for over two decades and, after many years as a social policy academic, opened the Freeland Gallery in Paddington, Sydney in May 2006. He is committed to exhibiting, and securing greater recognition for, Australian studio ceramics. We thank him for agreeing to judge the 2009 exhibition.
